To add the **Assessment** tab, you need to complete these two steps: 1. **Enable certification** for the course to add certification  2. Choose **With Assessment** as the certification method to add Assessment **1. Enable Certification** This allows learners to get certified once they complete the course.  **Steps ** 1. Go to the **Course Overview** tab  2. Under **Course setting** , toggle on for the **Enable certification** 3. Click **Save** to apply changes Once enabled, the admins will be able to access the **Certification** tab to configure.  Click here to know more about certification  **2. Choosing Assessment as the certification method** Now, to enable the Assessment tab, select "Course with Assessment" as your certification method. This method requires learners to complete both the course content and pass an assessment to earn certification. **Steps ** 1. Go to the **Certification** tab. 2. Click the dropdown under the **Certification** **method \> with Assessment** 3. Click **Save** to apply changes Once updated, **Assessment settings** and **Questionnaire** options become accessible to set up.  ### To Set up Course Assessment   Once the **Assessment** tab is enabled, you're ready to create and configure assessments. **I. Exam/Assessment Setting**   Trainn allows you to tailor your course assessments based on how you want learners to engage with and complete it.  **Steps** 1. Under the **Assessment & Certifications** options, click on **Assessment Settings** 2. Under **Exam Settings** , you will find the below options, that enable you to configure the assessment settings based on your course requirements. - **Take assessment without course completion** Enable this option to allow learners to take up the assessment even **without completing the course content**.  - **Can retake the assessment ** Toggle this on to let learners retake the assessment, even after earning certification. - **Shuffle questions** Enable this to randomize the order of questions for each learner to prevent answer sharing. For this, you’ll also have to enter the **number of questions** in the assessments.  - **Show attempt results**   Enable this to display the result of each question— **correct or incorrect** —after assessment completion for learners. You’ll also have the option to **show the correct answer** as a summary at the end of sessions.   - **Assessment duration ( in minutes )** Set the duration for completing the assessment. When time expires, the portal automatically closes and the attempt is marked as failed. - **Passing score (in percentage)** Specify the **minimum percentage** required to pass the assessment and receive certification.  - **Number of attempts allowed**   Define how many times a learner can attempt the assessment to achieve the passing score and earn certification.  - **Reattempt window** When a learner fails the assessment, you can control how long they must wait (in hours) before they can attempt it again. 1. Click **Save** to apply your settings. II. **Assessment Questionnaire** Once the assessment settings are configured, you can now add questions to evaluate learners’ understanding.  **To setup assessment questions** 1. Go to the  **Assessment questionnaire** under the **Certification** tab 2. Click inside the question text box to begin writing your question 3. Click on **save changes** , once the questions are added  **Configuring options** While setting up a questionnaire, you can configure the type of questions and answer choices. 1. **Question Type/ Response format ** You can choose the two question formats: - **Multiple choice options** - **Checkboxes** > **Note:** Click on the **Add option** to include more choices or options or **Upload image** to add image-based options   1. **Set correct answers and points ** Set the correct answer each question and assign points for every correct answer. The overall pass/fail percentage will be calculated based on these points.    **Steps to add answer keys** 1. Click on **Answer key**   2. Mark the correct answer for the question and assign points  3. Click **Done ** **Manage Questions in assessments** As you build your assessment, you'll need to organize and manage your questions 1. **Add Questions ** Click **Add question** box to create additional questions.  1. **Delete Questions** Click the **Delete icon** for the question you want to remove. 1. **Reorder Questions ** Drag and drop the drag handle at the top of each question box to reposition as needed.  > **Important:** > > 1.
