The change layout option enables you to adjust the size of your video in the viewing window. The Trainn's video player is optimized for 16:9 ratio. A background template is automatically added around your clips to maintain this ratio. This spacing ensures your videos display correctly in the 16:9 format regardless of the original recording dimensions.
Navigate to the video editor toolbar within any video.
Click Change Layout.
Select from the two available options:
Option 1 (on the left): Retain the current layout with an extended template border.
Option 2 (on the right): Maximize your clip layout with respect to the background template, reducing the border size.
Important: If you notice that even with maximise layout option, the videos does not occupy the entire screen, we recommend you to use the below window resizer extension, to maximise videos to occupy entire screen.
Extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/window-resizer/kkelicaakdanhinjdeammmilcgefonfh
Navigate to the top menu bar of your video editor.
Select the Video Resolution option.
Choose your preferred resolution:
1080p (default)
720p
If you have cropped your video to a specific dimension, changing the layout might not reflect changes to your video. In this case, change the resolution from 1080p to 720p to maximize screen layout.
It is recommended to use Share Chrome Tab to record all your videos, as Trainn is optimized for Chrome tab recordings.
If you choose Share Entire Screen or Share Entire Window, the change layout option will not maximize the video to the fullest.
