The Add Object feature lets you add arrows, text boxes, or rectangles within a video clip. You add these objects when you want to direct viewer attention to specific areas of your screen or provide additional context within your videos.
Object types include:
Arrows point to certain actions or areas within a clip
Text boxes add additional context as text within a clip
Rectangles highlight an area within the clip
Navigate to the video editor toolbar within any video and click Add Objects.
Click Add a Layer.
Note: Objects are added as layers first. This allows you to have the option to setup multiple objects at the same time or or at different times.
Enter the start and end timestamps to set the layer duration for the clip. You can also use the draggable spotlight timeline to do the same.
Select the object (arrow, rectangle, or text box):
Text Box: A text box appears in the clip. Enter the required text inside. You can customize the alignment, font type, font color, and font size.
Rectangle: An adjustable rectangle automatically appears on your clip. You can customize the border color, thickness, and fill color.
Arrow: An arrow automatically appears in your clip. You can reposition it, change arrow color, and thickness.
Click Save & Return to finalize the objects.
You can add multiple objects based on activation timelines:
Objects that activate at the same time
Click Edit Layer for an existing layer.
Add more than one object within this layer.
Note: Trainn displays "In Layer 1" to indicate that all objects in this layer activate simultaneously.
Objects that activate at different times
Click Add Layer to create a new layer.
Add objects to this new layer and set different timing.
Note: Trainn differentiates between layers as Layer 1, Layer 2, etc.
Adjust object timing using:
Timestamp Player: Add start and end timestamps in the timeline player manually.
Draggable Timeline: Drag and move each object's timeline. This method helps align your objects with your voiceovers and on-screen actions.
