Editing a Video with Trainn

In this guide, we will walk you through the process of editing a video using Train after completing your screen recording. Train automatically generates a video preview, which you should watch entirely to decide if any edits are needed. If no edits are required, you can directly publish the video. Otherwise, follow these steps to edit your video.

Step 1: Enter the Video Editor

  • Click on any random clip to enter the Video Editor window.

  • Train records each action as a separate clip, making editing easier compared to traditional timeline editors.

  • Some clips may be locked due to intelligent edits by Train's AI. Unlock them to perform edits.

Step 2: Edit the Thumbnail and Title

  • Edit the thumbnail image using the Edit Image option or retain the one provided by Train.

  • Edit the title of the video as needed.

Step 3: Clip Operations

  • Use the Clip Operations window to trim, split, merge, or delete unwanted clips.

  • Update outdated sequences by adding or recording new clips between existing ones.

Step 4: Voiceover Customization

  • Each clip has a dedicated auto-generated voiceover that can be changed, edited, or replaced.

  • Use the AI Rephraser tool to create different versions of voiceover scripts.

  • Customize voiceovers using the Voice Settings option with over 100 voice options.

  • Apply changes to all clips at once by clicking on Apply to All.

Step 5: Adjust Click Highlights

  • Use the Spotlight option in the Editor toolbar to adjust the size and position of click highlights.

  • Control when spotlights appear and disappear using the draggable Timeline Editor.

  • Add multiple spotlights to direct viewer attention within a single frame.

Step 6: Use Objects for Emphasis

  • Add arrows, rectangles, and text boxes to any part of your clip.

  • Control their timing with draggable timelines, similar to the spotlight feature.

Step 7: Zoom Transitions

  • Manually activate zooms for any clip, set appearance times, adjust levels, and choose transition styles.

Step 8: Blur Sensitive Data

  • Use the Blur feature to hide sensitive data by selecting areas to blur.

  • Add multiple blurs to conceal different parts of the clip simultaneously.

Step 9: Change Layout and Background

  • Adjust clip size using the Change Layout feature. Maximize for better viewing quality.

  • Customize the background with ready-made options or upload your own template.

  • Apply changes to all clips by hitting Apply All.

Step 10: Border Style and Crop Layout

  • Add stylish edges to your clips with the Border Style feature.

  • Use the Crop Layout feature to crop specific portions from your video clip.

Step 11: Advanced Editing

  • Gain precise control over each clip's video, narration, and filler track separately.

  • Ensure smooth transitions with Train's automatically created filler track.

Step 12: Finalize and Publish

  • Preview the video once to finalize the edit.

  • Publish your video.

And that's it! You've successfully edited your video using Train.
