How to Add Video Chapters?

Chapters in Trainn help break your video into clear, navigable sections, making it easier for viewers to consume content, revisit specific parts, and understand the video structure at a glance. 

This is especially useful for long-form videos such as product demos, webinars, onboarding walkthroughs, and training sessions.

Tip: Adding chapters allows you to share the links of a chapter within a video to your learners. This means you can cover multiple topics in a video, and create chapters, instead of creating multiple videos for the same.

Steps

1. Navigate to the published video page, and click “Add Chapters” from the right side panel.

2. Click the “Add” button.

3. Copy the video player time into the Chapter Time field.

4. Add a clear, concise Chapter Title that reflects the section content.

5. Once done, click on “Add Chapter” to save the chapter.

6. You can add multiple chapters at different timestamps by repeating the same steps.

Best Practices

• Use short, descriptive titles that clearly indicate the section’s focus.

• Space chapters thoughtfully to guide viewers without overwhelming them.

• Chapters work best for videos longer than 3–5 minutes with distinct topic shifts.
