How to Share GIFs?

Trainn allows you to convert and share your video tutorials in GIF format. GIFs are perfect for sharing quick demonstrations in emails, presentations, chat applications, or platforms where video embedding might be challenging.

Export as GIF

Trainn lets you convert and export your entire video into GIF format.  

To export as GIFs

1. Click on the Share and Export options on the video page.

2. Navigate to the Export tab in the sharing window

3. Click the Export button next to Export as GIF. 

The GIF created will be downloaded locally. 

Limitations
1. The Export as GIF option becomes available in the Export tab a few minutes after the video is published.

2. The generated GIF will display a Play Icon overlay on the video. 

Copy Thumbnail GIF

Trainn allows you to generate and copy a thumbnail GIF of your video and directly paste it wherever required. It is especially useful to share in emails.  

To directly share the Thumbnail GIF 

1. Click on the share and export options on the video published page. 

2. Navigate to the Embed tab.

3. Click Copy Thumbnail GIF. 

4. Paste ( using Ctrl+V or Paste) directly into your email, Word documents, or presentations.

How is Copy Thumbnail GIF different from Export as GIF?

1. Sharing process

   Copy Thumbnail GIF - Uses a direct copy-paste workflow for instant sharing.

   Export as GIF - Requires downloading the file before you can share it.

2. Use case

   Copy Thumbnail GIF - Act as both a preview and an interactive link

   When you share the GIF in emails or documents, clicking on it automatically directs viewers to your full video in Trainn.

   Export as GIF - Creates a standalone GIF that plays independently with no built-in linking capability. 

Tip: A short video with a  maximum of two interactions works best when converting the video into a GIF.
