The clone feature in Trainn allows you to duplicate an existing clip, making it easy to repurpose a screen recording. This saves time by eliminating the need to re-record the same interaction or recreate a similar clip from scratch.
In this guide, we'll walk through how to clone a clip in Trainn.
Find and select the clip you want to clone from the timeline.
Click on Three-dot icon next to the selected clip.
Select Clone from the clip operations window
The cloned clip will be added immediately after the original clip in the video track.
Note: Cloning a clip also duplicates all associated elements, including zooms, spotlights, and narrations, from the original clip.
Clone feature is helpful when you need to explain multiple features within the same interface. Instead of recording the same screen multiple times, clone the clip and edit each cloned clip with voiceovers, zooms, and spotlights.
This approach saves time by reusing existing recordings while still providing fresh, focused explanations to your audience.
Tip: Cloning clips when needed maintains visual consistency by preserving the same style, quality, and formatting throughout your tutorial, resulting in a more polished and professional walkthrough.
