Best Practices while creating & sharing videos:
  • Try recording in HD for better clarity. The image/video clarity depends on the screen you’re recording in.

  • Restrict the video length whenever possible. Videos with more than 5 minutes of playtime generally get less viewership compared to the smaller ones.

  • In the case of long videos try creating them into multiple short videos and group them using collections.

  • While creating a video using Walkthrough, prefer having a Voice-Over using our native Text-to-Speech converter. We currently offer different voices in 5 languages and more coming along.

  • To make the experience cohesive while editing your videos, take advantage of the Clone, Hide and Ignore block options in the editor.

    • Use the cloning option, when you have to highlight more than one event in a single interface.

    • Use the hiding option, when you don't want a specific event/activity recorded to be added to your final output.

    • Use the ignoring option to keep the block but not have any specific editing effort done within. Note that when you ignore a block, the analytics do not get tracked as well

  • Preview all videos before publishing. Kindly note that HD videos take more time for publishing.

  • Upon creating videos, group them into Collections for easily sharing as video bundles. This helps majorly in cases of educating a new employee about the product/process or educating a prospect during the demos.

  • The videos created in Trainn can also be used as Thumbnail GIFs in your cold outreach emails. Simply copy the GIF and paste it into your email.

  • For areas with complex UX/UI, distribute videos using links in your in-app notifications and embed them within the product interface.

  • Duplicate your videos and change the language in the Voice Settings, if you have a multi-lingual customer base.

  • Add Call-To-Actions in between blocks or at the end of the video if you wish the user to perform respective actions.

  • If you are using Trainn videos to deflect support tickets or increase self-service capabilities,

    • Create multiple macros/canned responses with the links attached for all FAQs. This helps in reducing the FRT and increasing your FCR rates.

    • Embed these videos in your existing K-Base articles using the embed code.

  • Integrate with Intercom if you are using it for LiveChat to empower your Support/Success teams with faster resolution rates.
