How to Add Custom Pronunciations in Voiceovers?

The Custom Pronunciations feature allows you to fine-tune how the AI pronounces specific words or phrases in your voiceovers. This is especially helpful for brand names, product terminology, acronyms, or any unique words that might otherwise be mispronounced by the AI.

By customizing pronunciations, you ensure your voiceovers sound more accurate, professional, and aligned with your brand vocabulary.

Steps

1. Navigate to the clip where you want to correct the pronunciation.

2. Click on Voice Settings.

3. Scroll to Advanced Settings and locate the Custom Pronunciations section.

4. Click on Manage, then Add New.

5. In the empty field, enter the word you want the AI to pronounce in a certain way and click Generate.

6. Trainn offers a list of pronunciation options—you can listen to them and select the one that sounds most accurate. If none are suitable, you can define a custom pronunciation using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) format.

7. Once you are satisfied with the pronunciation, click Add to apply it.

Note: Any custom pronunciation added will reflect across all videos in your workspace.

Limitations

• Most AI voices support this feature, but a few may not. If you are using a voice that does not support custom pronunciation, switch to a different voice.

• Custom pronunciations will not apply to uploaded audio files or human-recorded voiceovers.
